The International Boxing Association (IBA) is working on a vision that could change the way we interact with sports forever.

At the congress of the International Boxing Association in Abu Dhabi in December 2022, plans for the metaverse platform emerged. In the IBA’s boxing metaverse, fans will be able to engage with VR boxing, VR training, NFTs, fan tokens and own cryptocurrency.
Moreover, cryptocurrency will be the primary means of payment for all aspects of the platform. For example, you will be able to use cryptocurrency to pay for subscriptions to watch fights in real life and VR fight arenas. In essence, this boxing metaverse will be a fully immersive virtual arena for fight fans to savour.

Inspired by IT specialist Dave Suleimanov, the platform of the ‘international house of boxing’ will feature state-of-the-art technology for live streaming fights and championships. Additionally, the platform will feature ticket sales, news and subscriptions. What is more, the platform incorporates a VR training system that aims to revolutionize how coaches train young athletes.
