Deutsche Telekom Joins Polygon As Network Validator
Blockchain
Blockchain platform Polygon (MATIC) has announced a partnership with telecommunications giant Deutsche Telekom. As part of the partnership, Deutsche Telekom will become one of 100 validators on the Polygon Proof-of-Stake (PoS) network. The collaboration will allow Deutsche Telekom to explore the potential of blockchain technology while ensuring the security and decentralization of Polygon.
Through its subsidiary Deutsche Telekom MMS, the company will provide staking and validation services for both Polygon’s PoS network and Supernet solutions, according to a press release. Dirk RÖDER, Head of Deutsche Telekom’s Blockchain Solutions Center, highlighted Polygon’s developer-friendly and secure nature, expressing enthusiasm for the collaboration, which is an important step towards more businesses adopting blockchain technology and the Web3 ethic.
The partnership reflects the growing popularity and acceptance of the Polygon blockchain network across industries. Michael BLANK, COO of Polygon Labs, urged more companies to consider joining the ecosystem. This year, Polygon has made significant efforts to improve its scalability. In March, the Polygon team launched a beta version of the zkEVM mainnet, based on its open source Ethereum scaling technology, promising to reduce transaction costs and increase smart contract deployment throughput.
